Easter Flowers and Sundries

With Easter just around the corner, this time of year comes with a different meaning for us all. Whether it’s religious, gathering the family together around the dinner table, indulging in chocolate, crafting Easter bonnets with the little ones, or with the long weekend falling later this year it might simply mean rest and relaxation. Spring is in the air and with it brings a feeling of new beginnings. If you’re out and about in the garden you’ve probably seen the first signs of new life coming through your flower beds, and even vegetable patches. If you’re a florist you’ve likely been enjoying the abundance of blooms which are currently available for you to work in to your arrangements.

Seasonal Flowers

Tulips, lilies, ranunculus, daffodils, blossom, hyacinths and daisies are just a selection of the most popular flowers that spring to mind when thinking about Easter. With their delicate petals yet vibrant colours, they’re a beautiful choice for cut flowers and compliment any arrangement, especially when the traditional colours of white and yellow are mixed in with pastel shades of pinks and purples.

Hat Boxes

Displaying arrangements in hat boxes have become a growing trend. They accentuate a bouquet, but when filled with the likes of chocolates, candles and pamper goodies they can also be presented as part of a luxury gift. Hat box arrangements have recently found themselves becoming a must-have for home interiors also. Their sturdy design makes them a great choice for florists when making deliveries, and they’re also a re-useable product which can continue to be filled with a different arrangements.

Printed Cellophanes

Popular with florists and crafters alike, cellophane comes in a wide range of colours and patterns. It protects and helps to display your arrangements, whilst providing those added finishing touches. When using as part of a bouquet, the cellophane will hold in water whilst tied together, which will continue to help the flowers thrive as an alternative to placing into a vase.

Hamper Boxes

Paired up with a printed cellophane, shredded tissue paper and a pull bow, hampers have long been the ultimate DIY gift choice. If you’re looking for an alternative to flowers, hamper trays can be filled with lots of chocolate treats and gifts. If the Bank Holiday weather allows they can also be used at parties and picnics.

Baskets and Containers

An attractive way to display a whole host of arrangements and gifts is to place them inside of a container which can simply be placed. Easter is a busy time for those who are looking to spend precious time with their loved ones and are typically looking for a ready-made arrangement to use in their home, as part of a table arrangement, or to give as a gift. Baskets are a natural looking way to present fresh cut flowers, with zinc and metal pots being a lovely choice for planting seeds and bulbs. Orchids are a popular indoor plant and placing them inside of the correct pot is key to their growth. Orchid pots are one of our biggest ceramic ranges, with lots of different designs complimenting their beautiful colours.

Display Animals

Spring is when we see lots of new life, and not just in the plant world but also in the animal world too. Our whimsical animals make a lovely gift choice and are the perfect addition to window and shop displays. Each animal is unique in their own way and bring a seasonal and joyous touch to your space.
