Charles Taylor is traditionally handcrafted in the UK and all products are made in house. Quality and satisfaction are their top priority; therefore all products are thoroughly inspected by in-house craftsmen, ensuring only the best furniture is produced.

Handcrafted on the edge of the Peak District, Charles Taylor furniture has the true traditional touch and with its ergonomic design, not only is it comfortable, but helps with your posture and increases relaxation.

Your furniture is supplied with one coat of the 'Taylor Brown' oil based preservative.To help protect and extend the life of your furniture we strongly recommend for you to apply another coat every 6-12 months.Wood is a natural product and may expand and retract depending on the weather conditions therefore we can not be held responsible for cracking , splitting , warping and shrinkage as this is a natural occurrence , because of this it may be necessary to check the tightness of the bolts/screws. 

As a natural product, wood requires special care to keep it in good condition and extend the life of the product.

If your product is treated, it is recommended to apply a cut end preserver if you cut, notch or drill the timber in any areas. This will ensure the treatment remains effective.

We recommend that you apply a wood preservative every year to maintain the finish of your furniture and ensure it lasts longer.

A wax or oil-based weatherproofing finish will also provide stability against shrinking and welling of the wood as moisture-levels vary and so is recommended to protect against extreme weather.

If you are not going to be using your furniture for a period of time, we suggest using a cover to keep it protected from the elements.

Painted furniture will need repainting every 12-24 months, depending on location and conditions. We suggest sanding down before painting to ensure a good finish.
