Want to make a difference to your business, and increase turnover? Whittingtons, Direct2Florists, Heemskerk Flowers, and The Paper Studio have come together to create Fresh Thinking for Florists Live 2018, which is a free networking event for florists to connect with other businesses and suppliers in the industry, whilst learning new ideas. You will have the opportunity to tap in to the extensive knowledge and expertise of all the suppliers, whilst discovering the latest products and trends, and connecting with likeminded florists.
There will also be special offers available on the day, which will be exclusive to those who attend the event and register for a loyalty card with Whittingtons, as well as many other supplier offers. Floral Demonstrations will be taking place with Wendy Rea and Sarah Horne throughout the day, who will be sharing their skills and giving advice to help you see instant results.
Wendy has had a working career within the flower industry experiencing and responding to a diverse and fast changing retail environment. Wendy is a ‘no nonsense ‘ florist. Designer floristry has its place, but giving your customers what they want on an everyday basis is what making a profit is all about. Wendy will show how ‘impulse sales’ can give your business a boost and keep you ahead of the competition. She will demonstrate a range of products which will excite your customers, are easy to make and will maximise your profits.
Sarah Horne is an internationally renowned, creative floral artist who has attained three Chelsea Gold medals for Professional Floristry and has also won the prestigious title of Chelsea Florist of the Year 2011. Her floral structures are intensely imaginative and she has produced commissions ranging from intricately flower-woven wedding corsets to a full-sized arbour picnic scene made entirely of flowers – even including the delicate cakes. Sarah’s shop in Royal Leamington Spa has reached the national finals of the UK Flower Shop of the Year four times and her infectious passion for all things floral has led her to demonstrate her artistry all over the world.
Light refreshments and nibbles will also be provided.
